SCG Badminton Asia Junior Championship 2015 (U19) was held in Bangkok, Thailand from 28th June to 5th July. The Macao China team sent 6 boys and 4 girls, led by manager Kok and coach Lim to join this tournament.
Mixed teams competitions were held from 28th June to 1st July. Macao, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore were teamed in group C. After Macao team finished the mixed team, our athletes continued their training to prepare for the further individual match.
In individual event, it was hold during 1st – 5th July. There were 5 items included men’s single, women single, men’s double, women’s double and mixed doubles. Our teen athletes joined all the matches.
After the tournament, Lim said that the strength of young players from other countries are significantly enhanced. All participating countries began to pay attention to nurture young athletes. He considers that Macau should also develop local badminton in this direction.
